Role Summary
The Utilities & IETS Engineer / Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations while operating and monitoring effluent treatment systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the efficiency and safety of plant operations in a petrochemical environment.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in daily operations that involve monitoring and maintaining effluent treatment systems, ensuring they meet regulatory standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and support plant operations during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure EHS rules are followed and maintain a safe workplace
- Operate and monitor effluent treatment systems (IETS)
- Track and report monthly IETS performance
- Ensure discharge complies with regulatory standards
- Plan and carry out maintenance for IETS equipment
- Implement ISO 14001 / quality systems
- Support setup or upgrade of IETS systems
- Troubleshoot utility issues and support maintenance
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Relevant certifications in environmental management or safety
Experience in petrochemical or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
