Project engineer
- Take on as much responsibility as you want once you prove you are competent - Hands off management in operations as long as you get your work done - Work/life balance is great assuming you are getting your work done - Compensation is above average for geographical area (PA) - Extensive travel opportunities across the US - Lax expense report management as long as you don't abuse it
- Future of company unclear ever since the Pershing Square equity acquisition - Layoffs over the past 2 years has killed morale across the company - No guidance on future career growth; outside of CDP program (3 year new hire rotational program) there is no clear career path

Big company can move slow at times
Company is average, has good outlook and is on path of growth. People are great and has fun and exciting projects. 4.5% company match on 401K for 6% of employee contribution. Good career opportunities if willing to relocate.
Company growth does not translate into personal growth. There is heavy attrition due to stagnation within the organization. Salaries are at the rock bottom of industry, though the executives make a huge amount. Salary increases are nominal. Bonuses are meager. Due to attrition the work load is tremendous. Benefits are average, not a greatest health insurance.
Anonymous employee
Solid balance sheet. No layoffs during covid
none that I can think of

Great pay and great benefits.
Difficult to advance without a degree.
Great company with a ton of resources available. Love the people I work with.
Continual training could be improved and a lot of turnover right now as the company goes through a change.
Leadership had a growth mindset and onboarding of industry experts in latest technologies The people at Air Products have many years of career experience showing the companies retention strength New headquarter offices in various global regions creating a culture of innovation and collaboration. The company is adapting to even the most challenging environment today with Covid and maintaining strong development of new projects. There are many opportunities today to become a future leader and grow as a professional in this industry.
As with any global company be prepared to work collaboratively with many regions and time zones. Finding the right work/life balance for each individual is important. Not necessarily anything bad here but a culture change from years ago and the opportunity to meet and learn from many others across the world.
