Healthy company culture, people work as a team and help each other
The pay is average compared to other banks. But its a great place to start
Management trainee program
Good base pay for a first job
Not too much prestige in working in Alliance Bank, most people mistake me working for Allianz Insurance.
Recruitment consultant
1) Lots of cheap options for lunch 2) You’ll be given a bank account 3) Relatively accessible by public transport 4) They have lots of small parties mainly for food
1) No career progression, people work here for 10 years and no title increment. You’ll only get promoted if someone above you leaves 2) Minimal training. Expect to be trained by a PowerPoint slide equivalent 3) Old school working style. Dated equipments ( monitors, keyboard, and peripherals will be given assuming they work) 4) Lots of long serving staff, so if you are young get ready to feel out of place 5) Received no information regarding bonus 6) HR does not review performance evaluation, bosses can coerce and have so much influence on your career progression 7) Get ready to be moved like an office furniture due to restructuring 8) If you are contract worker, get ready to be overworked
Key account mnager
Salary is considered good and better
Ni work life balance here
Senior executive
- Highest EPF rate in the industry - Personal development : Able to take Professional Certification or Paper
- Poor management - No communication
Strategy manager
Good learning curve, with various exposures in different line of businesses.
Slow compensation and career growth
Staff Benefits are pretty good
1) Blame first, Solutions later 2) Fear of the boss 3) Only results matter 4) Managers and above can only moan about what's wrong rather than taking action to put something right 5) High anxiety and depression 6) My way or the highway attitude 7) Uses fear to motivate (ie. warning letter from HR/contract won't be renewed) All the traits listed above are signs that a workplace culture is toxic and Alliance Bank definitely fits all of them to a tee. The team leads are a bunch of 'Yes Men/Women' who can only nod at Management's suggestion. No backbone whatsoever. Meanwhile, Management is akin to a bunch of headless chickens running around, trying to figure out how to do their job. Zero knowledge on how to handle a crisis. The goals of management in this bank are incredibly short-term, can't see past a year. Little to no instruction given to lower level employees on how to handle cases. You have better chance of finding a circus being managed better than Alliance Bank
