Field service engineer (fse)
Training was good flew me out on first week for a 2 week course on the tool.
Tool time in class because only one tool to work on and had four other people in the class. With only 2 weeks could not let everyone have there turn. Tool I worked on in class was not tool I worked on in the field and SW was different in the field.
Staff accountant

Systems developer/integrator
Good Management Positive Culture Fruit Basket Good Team building Activities Good Company cutlure
To much reliance on old technology i.e. Printers, DSLRs all of which is a sinking and dying market. Revenue is going down on an yearly basis
Consultant
Good for fresh grads looking for on the job training and opportunities to learn. Friendly people
None that I know off
- Careers prospects good if you put in the time - Excellent brand to work for and with - I now have a very nice camera - A lot of very competent people....
- ... stuck with poor systems and processes - You are expected to work long hours - Company culture is political and does not encourage speed
Marketer
Canon gives back to the community. Blood drives, clothing drives, Breast Cancer sponsor, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sponsor, Earth Day events, etc. Great products, good building and location. Nice cafeteria
Salaries need to be higher. Not a good company to balance work and personal life. If you arrive at 9:01AM you are late. You cannot "leave early", you must take personal time. When salaried most companies let you work thru lunch or come in early to leave 30 minutes early. No working from home, but if company is closed due to weather, you are expected to work from home if needed. No official comp day policy for travel. Some managers do not communicate well, and other communication issues levels across the boards. Favoritism
Senior business development consultant
Good Benefits, Great team mates.
Bogged down by administration. Compensation changes as of late are questionable.
Software engineer
You can play video games all day if you're lucky with the team
only boomers legacy app pointless work
Executive
- Stable job if you are not looking at career progression - Reasonable annual leave considering it is a Japanese MNC
- Remuneration not competitive - Multiple reporting, sometimes overlapping one another - Top-down approach from HQ makes things rigid
