It was a good company.

Can be very stressful when dealing with customers and internal affairs

Operating red tagged machines, OSHA inspection manipulation, hack safety training and signoff acknowledgement, heat exhaustion and dust for the poor detailers, unpaid hours from clocking manipulation, & managers who couldn't use a computer to save their life.

Compensation is not competitive to market standards.

Too many layoffs, take an emotional toll on everyone.

The unstable business of a contract manufacturer often leads to fluctuating workforce levels

Positions moved or moving to Asia

Nothing really standouts but there is room for improvement on promotions. The company can do better to help connect people with the right positions to move the company forward.

Quite far from mrt station.

Horrible leads/supervisor in the clean room, poor communication by lead

Expect to work long hour during quarter end.

the employee is not valued, the idea is "there is always someone else who can take your place"

poor medical benefits, poor retirement package, company does not honor cal sick due to that it has a pto plan in place were you get 80 a year to use for your vacation or sick needs

I can not complain about the company

Cutting too many people at lower levels but paying C level insane salary. Not moving fast enough against competitors. Closing Toronto will cut the heart out

Celestica is a company that seems to survive on sheer momentum. Their IT policies are needlessly draconian, their understanding of the businesses they acquire is laughably inadequate, and the infighting between parallel groups is shameful. The icing on the cake is how they will lie outright on email threads or conference calls with their customer's c-suite persons to cover for their own mismanagement and incompetence.

Low pay, No chance for progress, No benefit

Depending on your position there can be more work than reasonable, leadership seems to be constantly changing direction, standards/procedures are not well documented, pay can be disappointing.

Backstabbing culture, where co-workers do anything to get ahead.. this behaviour is fully encouraged by management who are only in it for themselves. Leadership does not uphold the company's values and restructures you if you don't do exactly as you are told, work 12hrs a day and through all weekends and holidays. A truly toxic environment.

Less pay, but good experience

Only entry level job is given and you will be stuck with that forever, you will be given promotion, status, managerial position if you are less than 30 years or more than 55 years, if you are of any age in between please don't even try, you will waste your valuable time.

Weekend standby, too many people, too many meeting to attend.

Celestica does not treat people as humans.

Good timing, clean place to work.

Pays lower than industry standards, especially for new grads/younger employees. Burnout/overwork is high, especially for top performers who get the bulk of the work. Lots of legacy processes in place when the company was bigger which can be frustrating to deal with. Most big projects won get outsourced to other factories for cost cutting, the Canadian footprint is relatively flat/shrinking. Customer meetings can take up the majority of your day depending on workload. Morale in senior employees is relatively low as many are exhausted and are waiting to be laid-off to collect their higher than industry level severance packages. Typically “restructure” yearly after annual physical inventory.

EMS business. Needs to diversify more.

No respect from management at any level. Constant lies to employees.

No much two ways communication, can follow the rules & instruction from management.

Understaffed, uncertain and very cost-concious. Curbs effective use of resources and low morale among employees makes outlook uncertain even when things are okay.
