Entire automotive industry is full of problems now and this is reflected by layoffs.
Technical lead
European company but Indian management is incompetent. So not a Pros.
My first year i was at Continental Automotive component which was during companies good time. I felt this was the best company that i every worked with. Little did i know. Now there is not good time, it's the worst from past 1-2 years. 1. Incompetent management from C.E.O of india till your manager (LALs). (Factory mindset doesn't feel like a tech company ). Attendance matters over your work. 2. non-technical manager who have zero business contribution, so the only job they have is to make your life HARD. 3. Appreciation incentive is worst (avg 4-5%) according to them the company is always performing bad (no wonder with his management). 4. Too bloated with respect to number of non technical managers, who have zero contribution to business and these are the ones who decide on your career trajectory. 5. 5 days work week and 9 hours mandatory and it is tracked like their life depends on it. 6. Employee well being is not even in their check list. No matter how many times you voice your problems it's always on a deaf ears. 7. Employees have been asked to put down their papers and salaries are being with held if they not comply (sad sate of one my college). All of this is unofficial channels no mail conversation. My Exit process was a huge Pain had to follow up for 40 + days just to get my resignation approved. Exit process is even worst with my won experience. Due to incompetent manager and minimalistic work mind set. 8. There some concept of LAL (Lean Agile Lead). In every town hall there is a question on their contribution, every time it is brushed off. 9. In one of the town hall, There was a question on Management efforts to get more business. To which CEO replies come to my Cabin we can have a discussion on it. 10. There is no new business in AM, all the projects are being delayed by over a year and quality of work is worst more than 15% comes back to re work (quoting the CEO ). List goes on and on. If you hear Continental Autonomous mobility (Aumovio new name) please RUN away, it's a sinking ship. All the visionally Leaders have left in past year or two only bottom of the barrel dirt is left.
