Technical support engineer
good company to work , no layoffs
salary is not good compared to the market
Great benefits, vacation/PTO, and tools that make you successful. Overall, this is a really good company to work for, despite my comments below.
Management has gone mad. Since starting layoffs last year, Dell is targeting fully remote workers to be gone first. Doesn’t matter how great of an asset you are, if you’re remote your days are numbered. Pay isn’t all that great as it is in the bottom 25% compared to the industry.

The people were all very smart, motivated, and lots of fun.
Too much change, but I was with the company that went one acquisition before Dell, hopefully it has settled.

- Casual & professional working environment - Depending on role, could work from home/hybrid previously
- Pay and benefits may not be as competitive as others

Dell is one of the best places to work. The work culture here is very flexible , there are no strict office timings and no punch in/out concept, which really helps maintain a good work-life balance. Colleagues are very cooperative, and the overall environment is positive and supportive. I am part of the File Systems team, which is one of Dell’s core products in the data protection domain. The work is interesting and challenging, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Apart from work, Dell also encourages a friendly culture with regular team outings and lunches, which makes the workplace even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place to build a career.
As such there is no cons, but yeah Dell is basically for File system , if you want to work in some other domain like AI and ML then there is no much opportunities , they are slowly going towards the new AI and cutting edge Technologies.
