Strategic sales executive
My team and everyone I met at Dell was fantastic. Great, talented, helpful and overall smart people there. The benefits were great and the PTO was fantastic, the initial pay at hiring was abysmal but after about a year it increased to a livable amount.
However, the bureaucracy and money hungry people at the top of the food chain made working there very stressful. They were chasing performance and numbers from the COVID era and every time those goals weren't reached as a whole company they had mass lay offs. As in routine lay offs every 6-9 months like a clock work laying off roughly 5-10% of their work force each time.
Sales manager
The people were great but that’s about it.
The company is transitioning with consistent sweeping layoffs for the last 3 years it doesn’t make for a stable environment.
Technical support engineer
None at the moment with all the layoffs.
The company doesn't know how to pivot to AI. This is the reality. The leadership doesn't have a long term plan. They roll with concepts of plans that get them nowhere. The mid level managers are useless. They don't question anything. They show so much fear it's ridiculous. Because of this, there is no upward movement. You get trapped into position doing the work without the title. Without the title you don't get the raise you deserve. So, for all you young people just starting out... don't bother with Dell. It's a tech trap. The internal culture is horrible. Women and minorities.... forget it. You will be held back!! Idc what MD says publicly. You will be held back. Especially, if you're smart and show intelligence and strength.

Solutions architect
Great to work for. No problems from my side.
None that I can think of.
Account executive
I think the people and culture, aside from Michael dell himself, are great. Dell has always had great people. BUT it does sometimes depend on who your boss is
Lord where do I begin. The return to office thing is just wow. People are commuting between 2 and 3 hours to get to work every day with how bad the traffic is in the central Texas region with all the construction. Definitely a culture of fear. Massive teams and one manager. Coaches sometimes have two or more teams(up to 40 to 50 people for mine) people are really starting to get grumpy. Yes there is a huge initiative to shrink headcount and they are not going to stop until the squeeze like your sucking your stomach in.
