Cyber security consultant
Lots to learn and grow Need to be independent always Always doing things beyond your grade
Need to get into good books Zero complaints is essential to do “well” Do what your assigned. No questions to be asked
Senior executive
Good staff welfare & employee benefits.
Imbalanced segregation of duty. They always claimed that they trust in planning, but the plan just didn't work out as per their expectation. Very high expectation from the stakeholders.
Associate cyber security consultant
Great boss and a friendly work environment
not much downsides to working here
Engineer
Very good working environment and good benefits.
i cannot think of any cons
Cybersecurity consultant
- trainings and hands-on job experience - many projects to practice your craft
- high turnover and management not solidified yet - profit-focused at the expense of healthy culture and proper processes - no clear path for promotion, even if completing the most profitable projects as consultant. May be good for the sales people only
Work flexibility, meet good team member who wiling to suffer together. Annual bonus and increment. No retrenchment during COVID, instead company giving bonus and increment. Good work place (new) and 10 mins walking distance to mrt. gym and pool table, everyday refill snacks and foods at pantry (3 levels)
Lousy laptop with lots of restrictions. Toxic politic every where but here got more serious.
Consultant
- Good environment with helpful colleagues - Work is manageable
Felt that work quite disorganized from some sales personnel. Not everyone in the sales team. Just some..
Security analyst
Good working environment. Offer lots for learning
Lack of manpower during the shift
The workload is manageable, and the company culture is acceptable.
Management is reluctant to promote senior Level 1 SAs to Level 2, even though there is a shortage of Level 2 staff. Additionally, the work is repetitive, with little opportunity to learn new skills or grow professionally.
Support engineer
Ensign working culture is rather casual, free and easy, working in office isn't stressful compared to other places Middle and Higher management lets the ground staff work how they decide its best within limits. Learning opportunity for post-sales engineers are decent, massive exposure on handling B2B vendor-client relationships and its requirements. Ensign shares partnerships with a notable number of product vendors, product trainings are available on business demand. Ensign shares basic benefits with the Singaporean government, medical and welfare benefits are better than average. Everyone tries to work together to solve a challenge when needed regardless of expertise. Company is able to leverage off its J-V publicity and secure sales. Department culture practices on a give and take approach.
As the company is still within its first year of its J-V, there is a notable culture difference between the work involved. Processes might be messy, not defined and practices or mindsets might be different. Workload can be massive on certain periods and overtime is needed to fulfill deadlines. There is a thin line in work responsibilities, when the pace picks up, the slower in learning might face more stress due to the constant need to adapt and pick up knowledge and competency on the fly. Career progression vertically is still an uncertainty. Lack of admin rights on corporate laptops gives challenges for on-site engineers.
