Good people to work with, felt camaraderie with my co-workers. Benefits were decent
No room for growth. Management did not value input from workers on the front lines
Senior electrical engineer
It is a good place to get your teeth cut. You'll be exposed to a lot of different projects depending on your work and your section (there are many divisions in Flextronics). I had the opportunity to work with very good co-workers and experienced engineers.
It is a very demanding environment and you may be required to work extra hours. This may become the norm if you have several projects in the pipeline. People getting laid off is not unusual and constant re-organization is the norm. You just don't focus on it otherwise you'd get really dizzy. I don't think it is a company that is good for any long term plans.

work culture very good Secure place to work
Some people are from manufacturing background mindset

There are only few strong leaders remaining but not for long
1. Culture is very political. This is a company that promotes based on tenure and NOT based on experience, knowledge, and leadership. 2. They have people in Management roles with minimal experience, talent, and skill set. 3. The company is striving to expand and be competitive in the tech world but is struggling and will continue to be seen as only a "Manufacturing" company. 4. Many people are under paid based on tittle, and skill set. 5. There is limited work/life balance. Its a manufacturing culture. 6. Restructuring of organizations occur often 7. This is not a company for those intelligent and driven minds.
Anonymous employee
Large company benefits with a smaller company feel; flexibility, consistent reviews and competitive pay. Worked with only 1 client for 10 years. Understand that a job in RTS - retail technical services is very different that work in another division within Flex.
This job is based on contracts with clients, when the client goes, so does your job but they try to put you into something different if available in your area. Your metrics and goals change with the client's business choices, so change management is key.
Lots of work if you like to stay busy. Planning for manufacturing can be shoddy so overtime is abundant
Supervisors and management need to appreciate their employees much more. The company lacks discipline on every level including upper management where ops managers are screaming and swearing to get their point across.
Flexible to work and we can learn many things.
It’s difficult to move from night shift to day shift
Maintains a friendly environment and good culture
Employees voice are just heard, no importance for it and no additional benefits and works are overloaded
