Lots of opportunity to contribute. Many different customers/ products to experience. Good place to learn about operations and supply chain.
Budget and time allowed for training, seminars and professional development is tight so you will need to pursue continued education and learning outside on your own.

Flex is truly a great company in my professional career. Complete freedom for engineer into enhancing of your skill and mindset. Good learning exposure for freshers.
Fewer Chances of promotion due to a high amount of team.

Global program manager
There is a lot of opportunity for advancement and to change career focus with this company. There is also the opportunity to transfer to other sites within the company both domestically and abroad. A truly international company that affords you the opportunity to work and interact with colleagues from all over the world. The workforce is highly diversified as is the management from bottom to top. The company also promotes women within the workforce, particularly as engineers and managers. The company knows manufacturing and does a good job at it. It is a great learning experience to understand how efficient volume manufacturing works.
The company has a low profit margin (somewhere in the 2 to 3% range). As a consequence, it operates very lean and this has a direct impact on resource availability and work life balance. Work life balance can get seriously out of whack. It depends what is your position in the company. At the manufacturing sites, for instance, the MEs and PMs are driven pretty hard. Very long hours. Very thin on resources. As a global PM, there can be a lot of travel (often international) involved, varying widely from 20-30% to close to 90%. Keeping tabs on programs overseas also means long days and late night calls with overseas facilities. Continuously changing company, always in some state of flux. The organizations within the company seem to undergo continuous changes with large changes (re-orgs) every few years Compensation is lower than you would see at Google or other Tech company.
Great projects to work on. Very good staff with all levels of experience. Great location and many opportunities to learn and grow in your field of choice.
Not very many downsides to mention. Other than current work conditions of over crowding, but that is a good thing to do work load and growth. Line of communication from customer thru management to project team to engineers could be more clear at times, but that is typical of most ways of business in the engineering field.
