Decent 401(k) plan for employees. Standard PTO
Horrible Senior Leadership at the U.S. headquarters. Big European publicly-traded company bought a bunch of small family-owned businesses and gutted them like fish
Account manager
- Good career progression and lots of training opportunities such as excel, presentations, negotiating etc. - IMCD select their people well and it shows, everyone is likeminded and kind. - Good exposure to systems such as Salesforce. - UK head office is easy to get to. - Free soft drinks - Weekly yoga and a physio
- if you don’t speak up about progression, you can get overlooked. - admin onerous systems and incredibly long set up processes which slow customer journeys down. - difficult to negotiate pricing with customers sometimes due to supplier increases with no explanation behind. - office employees struggle with role training and it isn’t consistent between the business units. - no healthcare - low pay compared to the industry
Sales service representative
Good people in the company
heavy heavy workload that increases more with ability
Supply chain - customer service
Currently on Remote work schedule. One month in office, one month remote. This is not a permanent schedule.
Too many to list. Every department within the US organization (La Mirada, CA and Westlake, OH) is a mess. Turnover is through the roof because people quit on a monthly basis. If your desperate for income, give them a shot. DO NOT QUIT YOUR EXISTING JOB to work at IMCD. Once remote schedule ends, I’ll be resigning.
Sales manager
Team bonding in every division is good, and supporting from higher level is also easy to get with accountability of course.
Tranparancy between management and employee is still need to be improved.
Nice place to work with nice colleagues who do what they can despite numerous system errors and long drawn out processes.
Management don't trust the lower level employees so lots of effort is needed to get basic information, which really slows things down. You also have to record a lot of information but are unable to access it later, it is like feeding a monster.
Good company, growing, lot of opportunities
If your BU head is not good, then u will not receive any increment and incentive. Even after u do veey good job.

Willing to consider variety of backgrounds not just graduates. Higher ups seem positive and want to make good changes for staff.
I felt overworked and undertrained expected to perform without help which is why I felt I had to leave on the end. Left to deal with the fallout. Colleagues are sometimes unfriendly to those who don't fit in but everyone pretends to be cheerful so you don't quit immediately.
