1. The good things in Juris is the people. Most of them are friendly and willing to help 2. Great learning curve to gain experience depending on the team you assigned and the project you working on.
1. Poor management for certain department. Lack of clear direction from upper management and unrealistic expectations towards new joiners. Even clear sign of high turnover but the management seems not addressing the cause to reduce the risk. 2. Overwhelmed workload. Expect you to contribute as if you're experienced for the newbies 3. Poor work life balance. Many struggle to maintain healthy work-life balance due to demanding clients expectations. Management should consider evaluating client relationships and workload distribution to ensure that employees are not consistently overburdened
Software engineer
willing to train employees, abundant opportunities to those willing to step up
many leaders not mature enough, leadership's direction is unclear
Hybrid working environment - always a plus
Proprietary framework and some tech debt
Consultant
Freshers are given good opportunities.
No dedicated quality assurance team in the company
Good training, good location, HR is friendly and understanding.
Using old systems and frameworks so you have to learn on the job.
Business analyst
Hybrid working, Flexible working hours, Supportive team and seniors, depending on which dept you are in. Steep learning curve which helps you to grow and gain experience faster, kind of okay to work here to gain experience and exposure to handling expectations and clients
Working long hours can be common, low salary, heavy workload despite the low pay. There’s expectations to be available all the time, after working hours, weekends. Benefits are the bare minimum. Workload and working hours can vary depending on project allocation. Work life balance isn’t practiced here, it’s work life integration
Good for career growth, able to learn a lot
Salary not within the job
Senior software engineer
No real barrier of entry, just pass the assessment they have. Good place to start if you like the field and lack the background Company is doing well, stable and not going anywhere (i.e. you'll be paid on-time) If you strike the right relationships, you can climb up very quickly regardless of how well you perform
No work-life balance Culture where working hard appreciated, working smart not at all, i.e. spending 20 hours solving a problem is more appreciated than solving that same problem in 2 hours Your personal relationship with certain individuals is what will decide your career progression, not your work or productivity Too much of what you learn is non-transferable. New ideas don't tend to be received well (if at all)
Flexible Working Hour Good Salary
Customise System Framework Poor work-life balance
Good place to learn. Friendly colleagues.
There are experienced senior in programing but not experience to lead. Lack of direction.
