- Nice immediate team - Great Discounts
- Shift work - Parking - Difficult to get consistent hours
None that can be named
Political Abusive Top Down Doesn’t care about employees
Decent salary Good hotel perks Fun field
24/7/365 industry Varies by property
Solid benefits. 401k, health, dental, eye. Stock purchase available. Good opportunity for networking with vast community. Discounted hotel stays.
Difficult to get things done. Nearly all properties are owned by third party. If ownership group is difficult, you will notice immediately as it created a lot of finger pointing for responsibility. Training is a joke. It was uphill coming in as experienced manager. New managers beware. No mentorship structure in place. Garbage bonus structure that takes into account property measures that your department may have no influence on.
Hotel discounts around the country
Leadership did not advocate for middle management
Great opportunities, pay very competitive, large brand, good employees
Middle management is not always good, very corporate at times, high expectations with inconsistent aid.
Good food, home made stule
Needs to open 7 days
Very supportive staff. Way once you are trained
The schedule comes out weekly and you have little to no control
NA its a Marriott and Business Hotel
There are two things that I bring into the culture of any hotel. Cleanliness and Friendliness. These are the foundation to any hotel property sucess. Also communication between departments sales, front desk, Engineering and housekeeping etc.
