Probably one of the best corporations I’ve worked for. Great management, super friendly co workers, pay is great.
None except for I wish they could get more banquets scheduled.
Lots of growth potential there
It was a good exp
Pure corporate business Usually lots of overtime if you want it
A lot of hoops to get anything done You'll have one manager and also six managers If you're not in the click, you're not in If you're not in, they will find your way out The workload for the grunts - at least bottom 6 career tiers - is absolutely astronomical If you want to progress you'll need to start memorizing the thousands of terms and policies, including new and modified ones updated frequently Everything is fully monitored for productivity - your efficiency must extend to masterful levels of controlling the general public to maintain required daily quotas - best of luck
Everyone is nice and friendly
Culture is changing, and not for the best
Team work Family feel Good benefits Free meals Free transportation
Strict management Strict on dress code Busy environment Overwhelming sometimes Stressful
If you enjoy the sense of belonging and the feeling that you have a role to place in the greater good of the company--then Marriott is a good place for you.
For me the commute was too long. I have family obligations. I'm looking for remote work.
They offer decent pay, remote opportunities, and tend to promote from within
They do not appreciate their employees. You are just a number to them and it is all about how the company can make more money. They outsource more and more of their work overseas and continue to eliminate positions in North America so the owners and franchisers can make more money. They do not truly care about service or their associates which is funny because their motto is they are a people first company. Definitely, not true.
Great benefits, great place to grow
to much work for little pay
Very structured working conditions especially if that's your speed
Very poor work life balance, especially during vacation seasons
