The team is very young and vibrant, with everyone being friendly and approachable. If you're lucky enough to be assigned to strategic projects, they are genuinely exciting and have a visible impact. The work-life balance is excellent, allowing for a healthy separation between work and personal life. There are always free snacks and drinks available in the office, which is a nice perk. The company regularly organizes smaller events every 2-4 months, all covered by the company. Additional benefits include a monthly Szép Card allowance, private health insurance, and even free tickets to Budapest Park events during the summer. There is also an option for educational leave, which is a great opportunity for personal development.
The salary is lower compared to some of the Big4 firms, which might be a drawback for those prioritizing compensation. If you don’t get placed on strategic projects, the tasks can be monotonous and may not feel like true consulting work. Career progression can be slow, which might be frustrating for those looking for quick advancement. The local onboarding process could use improvement; communication about start dates and what to expect is often delayed. I work in an area of the business that was purchased by Mastercard 5 years ago and a lot of the "old guard" still think they're in a start up and not part of a larger company, who have structures in place, it's a very frustrating part of the business to work in.

Total pay may be somewhat below big tech. As any large corporations, Mastercard sometimes requires too many people to approve the next move, so decision-making might be too slow.
