Anonymous employee
Very recognized and expanding company. Big bet on Video and Analytics.
Onboarding process a bit chaotic. Not very well explained from the beginning. Initial indefinition.
Network engineer
Good Management Team Average Salary
Too less pay Too much stress
Sr. account executive
Working with Motorola Solutions was an easy decision due to their core values and how they take care of the people. I do not feel like just a number when it comes to the other 20K employees I know I have support and my leadership know who I am.
There are other opportunities that can Pay more but the job security in a company has multi generations of employees and loyalty counter the pay
Senior software engineer
Offers stock plan for 15% discount. IP Tax relief
salaries are lowered comparing to market
Software engineer
stable, established company; mostly intelligent co-workers; unlimited PTO
sterile, clique-y culture; ambiguous demands, not particularly interesting
Cyber security engineer
Typical large company with great benefits but the company has done a great job of keeping talent by keeping the remote workforce for some of the critical jobs like compliance, devops and cloud security engineering
Large company, lots of silos
Engineering product manager
The work Motorola Solutions does is hugely important. The company is customer focused. The company is global, diverse, ethical, and generally well run.
The pay has always been average, but has lagged inflation drastically the last few years. Benefits have been whittled away over time. Medical insurance is decent, but most everything else is average. Most teams have good flexibility for WFH and the complexities of life and parenting. Offers paid maternal and paternal leave.
Project manager
Benefits are premium. Work-life balance is very good.
I have not found a true downside yet. There are quirks just like any other company.
Great culture, good team, company is great
pay is low compared to other industries
Good mission Good people Good history
Seems to be a who-you-know kind of company, like a fraternity: rather than being rewarded based on your merits, you find out that your boss went to school with the VP, etc. Work-life balance questionable
