Staffing manager
pros are they have great benefits and training
it's set up for mircomanagement all the time from the direct manager to the vp, too many restrictions on working with clients, branch separation creates clients to go elsewhere-if they need an admin person and a warehouse person you have to refer one or the other to the right branch/division, not a good business model and they are extremely metrics driven not client driven
Anonymous employee
What's great about working at Randstad is that they really give you the feeling that they care for their employees. It's all about personal development and taking on extra tasks where you can really test yourself and challenge yourself.
It's not a very ethnically diverse working environment. second thing is that they don't pay very well, although they do compensate with a lot of vacation days per year. Also it's very hard to get promoted and even if you do get promoted, your salary doesn't grow that much.
Recruitment consultant
Supportive culture and a great place to start in recruitment

Senior account manager
big. you get welcomed by prospects
big. you can't work with your prospect as legal is risk adverse so much to point where time kills any momentum and very little gets signed for new biz. no fun. frusturating is one word
Recruitment
- Flexible work hours - Great brand with offices around the world - Great location - Positive coworkers
Ever since new management came in, the turnover has been abysmal. Management has no background in engineering and has no perception of how to manage 3 offices in the West while sitting in the Toronto Office looking at spreadsheets all day. Management has no idea what's best for the business and how to retain talent. The new commission plan is extremely complicated and was a flat out lie that it was going to be better than the old. You simply don't get PAID at all for the first 16k billed per quarter whereas the old plan was straight forward and you were able to calculate your own commissions easier. People have quit over this plan and it doesn't seem to attract new employees because all of the competitors pay better. It's disappointing that this had to happen because Randstad Engineering used to do incredibly well pre 2016 but now the outlook of the division seems to diminish even when the economy is booming.

Some team leaders do not know how to be a leader and cant find an equilibrium inside teams and desitions that they make.
