Pros

- Staff Purchase - Lots of opportunity for youngsters/ fresh grad (only if you can work independently)

Cons

- Upper management who hold the responsibility of decision-making, are either inept at making good judgments or too indecisive. - Incompetent salary package that pays bare minimum but require full skill set from fresh graduates, lots of other companies offer significantly better compensation for individuals with such ability hence turnover rate is super high. - The upper management responsible for giving directives lacks transparency in their decision-making process, and their choices are often based on instinct rather than well-justified reasoning. - They perceives themselves to be in an elevated position and lacks humility, which often leads to unfair business practices such as exploiting its suppliers by offering unreasonably low purchase prices or solely taking advantage of collaborative partnerships without reciprocating equal benefits. - Certain departments lack a work-life balance due to either severe understaffing, leading to extended working hours, or supervisors who don't respect boundaries and contact their subordinates outside of work hours, even after they have left the company.

Pros

Only pro is you get staff discounts since products are sold at a profit margin of 40% and above :)

Cons

- Horrible compensation yet expects you to do every and anything -Bare minimum employee benefits (8 days AL for first 2 years, RM600 medical claims, no health insurance) - Unorganized, inexperienced, unfair HR - Racist colleagues - Upper management does not care about employee welfare (forced to work in the office despite having co-workers who tested positive, no compensation for COVID testing although you were in close contact from working in the office - expected to use the amount from medical claim) - Terrible annual increment - Zero recognition or acknowledgment - No career opportunities - Unclear and unrealistic KPIs - No career growth opportunities - Unethical business model (extremely profit-oriented with the aim of a profit margin of at least 45% on products and yet brand themselves as a company that sells affordable products) - Most marketing materials are plagiarised - No proper staff training or guidance, no onboarding process - Bosses and CEOs have zero experience running a company. It's always their word over yours, no matter what. Their decision relies on their mood without logical reasoning

Pros

- Great staff discount - More good colleagues than bad (may vary depending on your age group and department) - Swift learning curve justified by the low headcount - A great opportunity to morph into an extrovert as the job requires you to be very proactive and resourceful

Cons

- Super high KPI to feed the co-founder's ego & company's sale - Unfair value to other companies (please do not recommend this company to your friends and family in reputable companies in terms of partnership opportunities. They're totally fine for purchase/orders, but not partnerships. It will destroy relationships) - plagiarism - the bare minimum AL as required by law - Low pay - Unorganized HR

Pros

Free snacks, that is it.

Cons

Top management do not appreciate your hard work at all and expects a junior to have 10 years experience. It's a terrible company with heartless management that do not care about employees. You can loose your job without a notice working here. Reason being is that you're not up to their expectations when you really put in effort.

Pros

Nothing more than a stepping stone in your career. Good place to learn and be independent as the management expects you to juggle many different responsibilities, some that aren’t even related to your job scope. Don’t bother joining if you’ve already got experience - you won’t be rewarded for that.

Cons

Where do I start? To summarise, the upper management is incompetent and most of the employees are only there to gossip. - Promotions will not be awarded as they choose not to see what you’ve achieved over your time working there. Instead, they have an interesting yet bizarre belief that promotions are only given once you have accomplished more (as if they couldn’t already see what you’ve done over the months/years). In other words, this depends entirely on the timeline in their heads too so your promotion may come in another 2 weeks, 2 months or even 2 years. PS: Don’t be fooled by their empty promises. They tend to be very fickle-minded. - The co-founder will also tend to have many “crazy” ideas as what he likes to call it. Majority of the time, these ideas don’t make any sense but he will still expect the team to make it work, with close to zero resources and budget. - As for the environment, firstly it’s not a very diverse work place. Secondly, most of them there are young. While that may sound fun, gossiping is obviously a big chunk of their daily routine too and this can definitely get very, very toxic in the long-term.
