As a two-year employee of Zurich Insurance, I can attest to the fact that it is a fantastic company to work for. The company values its employees and provides ample opportunities for growth and development. The work-life balance is also great, and the supportive work environment has allowed me to thrive in my role as a Site Reliability Engineer. I appreciate the focus on innovation and the commitment to diversity and inclusion, which has created a culture that is inclusive and respectful of all employees. I would highly recommend Zurich Insurance to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding career in the tech industry.
None as per over all.
Underwriter

None great company to eprk
Consultant
Work-life balance, flat structure, open-minded management
Slow in process and administration work
Industrial placement student
Opportunity to learn and grow, mentor ship, buddy system
None to mention. It’s a great company to work for
There are various opportunities to grow from within the business as they prefer to hire internally for promotions or other roles if they can, however the company is full of life timers who only know zurich and therefore opportunities for progression might not come as often, and also the culture is very cliquey and the life timers are very disconnected from how an office environment should be these days, they don't care to help the newbies and they can get away with all sorts of behaviour. One pro is they are relatively flexible with working hours, personal commitments, etc. Benefits are good (but pay is shocking)
In the branch where I was Training and induction was lacking, there is none. The little training tht happens is just a ticking box exercise and not good, London however does very good training sessions. Favouritism Cliquey Toxic environment Shocking systems and duplication Good benefits but very low pay with little opportunity to increase it unless you are considering to leave. Everybody does things their own way, but many of those are not great ways Management can be very toxic Full of lifers that have been at zurich 30 years and get away with bad behaviours, unsupportiveness, they are unfriendly and unapproachable. The fact loads of management are also lifers that don't have managerial experience from another companies doesn't help. None of these things are going to change in the short to medium term, which means people (other than the lifers) keep leaving the company. I only recommend this company to have it in your CV and move onto something better afterwards.
