AWS vs Azure vs GCP — which cloud and why? Malaysian tech teams share

Asked around in my network of Malaysian tech leads and engineers. Here's the aggregated picture.
AWS: Most common, by far. The default choice for most Malaysian tech companies. ap-southeast-1 (Singapore) has excellent coverage and full service availability. The job market skews heavily AWS.
Azure: Strong in corporate and GLC environments where Microsoft 365 is already the standard. Azure AD integration is genuinely smooth for Microsoft-centric organisations. Less dominant in pure tech companies.
GCP: Least common in Malaysia specifically. Used by companies that are heavily into data and ML (BigQuery is genuinely best-in-class). Some startups that came from a Google Workspace culture.
Verdict for job seekers: AWS certifications have the highest market demand. GCP BigQuery skills are valuable for data engineering roles. Azure is worth knowing for corporate/enterprise-facing roles.
