Proven track record in teaching and research is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Clinical specialization candidates must have or be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate issued by the Malaysian Medical Council.
Malaysian National Specialist Registry registration is an advantage for clinical candidates.
For basic sciences, a minimum of a master egree or a PhD in a relevant field is preferred, with a first degree in medicine being an advantage.
Excellence in teaching and research must be demonstrated for basic sciences.
Commitment to student success and holistic development is necessary.
Familiarity with academic processes and regulatory requirements of MQA is required.
Candidates should be capable of conducting teaching and related academic duties.
Participation in programme and curriculum development is expected.
Ability to conduct high quality research with a strong publication record is required.
Successful grant acquisition experience as Principal Researcher is necessary.
High standards in supervising postgraduate students must be maintained.
Preference will be given to applicants with patents registered or consultancy experience.
Ability to establish academic linkages with external organizations locally and internationally is needed.
