
The Whole School and Lead Counsellor is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in fostering positive relationships and supporting the mental wellbeing of a diverse school community. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to aid social-emotional development and contribute to safeguarding and pastoral care within the school.
In this role, the Whole School and Lead Counsellor will engage in day-to-day activities that include individual and group counselling, as well as working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals. The environment is dynamic and requires a proactive approach to support the mental health needs of students and the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
A minimum of a relevant degree and a recognised counselling qualification(s), with higher qualifications preferred.
Registered with a recognised professional counselling body in any country.
Strong understanding of professional duties, ethical obligations, and legal responsibilities of counsellors.
Evidence of ongoing professional development in counselling and mental health.
Experience working with learners and adults from diverse backgrounds and needs.
