Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk at Sheraton Kota Kinabalu is responsible for verifying figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and correct coding. The role includes organizing and maintaining files, records, cash, and cash equivalents according to policies and procedures, recording and analyzing computerized financial information, and completing period-end closing procedures and reports. The clerk also audits cashier banks periodically, manages petty cash and contracts, communicates cash variances, and acts as a liaison between the property and banking services. Participation in audit processes and adherence to company policies, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting team goals are also key aspects of the position.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

At least 1 year of related work experience.

No supervisory experience required.

Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Ability to follow company policies and procedures.

Capability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.

Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.

Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
