The Assistant Chief Steward is responsible for directing and assisting stewards to enhance cleanup efficiency and ensuring proper water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning tasks. This role includes supporting banquet and kitchen staff by assisting with various tasks, transporting and stocking items, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen area. Additionally, the Assistant Chief Steward assists management in employee-related functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching, while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to follow all company and safety policies and procedures.
Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to work on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
Good communication skills with clear and professional language.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support a team environment.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
