Role Summary
The Assistant Chief Steward is responsible for directing and assisting stewards to enhance cleanup efficiency. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen area while supporting banquet and kitchen staff.
Job Description
In this role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations and ensure that all cleaning tasks are performed to the highest standards. You will work closely with the kitchen and banquet teams to facilitate a smooth workflow and maintain a clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and assist stewards to improve cleanup efficiency.
- Ensure proper water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning tasks.
- Support banquet and kitchen staff by assisting with various tasks.
- Transport and stock items as needed.
- Operate cleaning equipment effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen area.
- Assist management in employee-related functions such as hiring and training.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to follow all company and safety policies and procedures.
Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
