The Assistant Front Office Manager at Sheraton Johor Bahru supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front office functions, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk operations. This role involves supervising staff, managing day-to-day activities to ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining high standards of guest and employee satisfaction while optimizing the department's financial performance.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with no work experience required.
Ability to lead, influence, and encourage team members using interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and ability to lead by example.
Experience supervising and managing employees and handling daily operations.
Ability to establish and maintain open and collaborative relationships with employees.
Skills in resolving complaints, disputes, and conflicts effectively.
Focus on improving service performance and guest satisfaction.
Capability to communicate clear and consistent goals and participate in corrective action plans based on guest feedback.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and empowering employees to do the same.
Strong hospitality skills and the ability to serve as a role model for guest relations.
Ability to interact with customers to obtain feedback and provide coaching and guidance to staff.
Knowledge of implementing customer recognition/service programs and ensuring compliance with front office policies, standards, and procedures.
Skills to monitor adherence to credit policies and reduce bad debts.
Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and communicate relevant updates timely.
Willingness to function in place of the Front Office Manager during their absence and participate in department meetings.
