The Assistant, Linen is responsible for ensuring the quality and cleanliness of linen received from the laundry. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining hospital standards and supporting various departments through effective linen management.
Job Description
In this position, you will engage in daily tasks that involve handling and organizing hospital linen to ensure it meets quality standards. You will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, collaborating with team members to maintain efficient linen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality and cleanliness of linen received from the laundry.
- Separate linen for rewash as needed.
- Store and arrange linen systematically for easy access.
- Check the weight of linen to maintain accurate records.
- Conduct periodic checks on linen condition to ensure compliance.
- Assist with inventory management of linen supplies.
- Maintain records related to linen tracking and usage.
Job Requirements
Minimum PMR/ SPM in any relevant field.
Basic knowledge of hospital linen management and laundry processes.
Experience in housekeeping, laundry, or linen services is an advantage.
Ability to organize and manage linen inventory effectively.
Attention to detail in inspecting and sorting linen for quality assurance.
