The Assistant Outlet Manager supports daily restaurant operations including Restaurants, Bars, and Room Service. This role involves managing team members, assisting with menu planning and sanitation, and working to maintain guest and employee satisfaction.
The Assistant Outlet Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily supervision of restaurant operations across areas including Restaurants/Bars and Room Service. This role involves supporting menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, assisting servers and hosts during peak periods, and striving to improve guest and employee satisfaction. The Assistant Outlet Manager also helps manage restaurant team members, ensures compliance with policies, handles customer service issues, and supports human resource activities such as training and performance management.
High school diploma or GED, with 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area; or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in a related field.
Ability to handle employee questions and concerns and monitor employee performance.
Capability to communicate effectively with kitchen and management staff regarding service and quality issues.
Knowledge of restaurant policies, standards, and procedures including compliance with local alcohol beverage service laws.
Competence in managing budgets and daily restaurant operations including opening and closing shifts.
Skill in delivering and encouraging excellent customer service and handling guest complaints as necessary.
Experience in supervising training initiatives and coaching employees on performance expectations.
Strong communication skills for providing information via telephone, written form, email, or in person.
Ability to analyze information and solve problems appropriately.
Capacity to assist in high demand times on the restaurant floor.
