Job Description
The Associate Professor will engage in day-to-day teaching activities, develop course materials, and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes. The position also involves participation in research and scholarly activities, contributing to the academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct classes and facilitate student learning.
- Develop and prepare teaching materials and curriculum.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies to optimize student engagement.
- Supervise and support student research projects.
- Participate in scholarly activities, including research and conference presentations.
- Publish research findings in reputable journals.
- Attend academic meetings and participate in committees.
- Establish and maintain external academic linkages.
Job Requirements
Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Tourism or Hospitality Management.
Have at least five years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.
Maintain a strong publication record with at least 3-5 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Have secured research grants as a Principal Investigator worth RM75,000-RM100,000 (cumulative).
Have graduated at least 2 PhD students.
Hold a minimum h-index of 5.
Have experience working in higher education with a track record in teaching, curriculum development, coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills.
