Job Description
The Associate Professor in Hospitality Analytics / Hotel Revenue Management is responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and supporting student research projects. The role involves conducting classes, preparing teaching materials, and implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning. Additionally, the professor participates in scholarly activities such as research, conference presentations, journal publications, and efforts to secure research grants. Administrative duties include attending meetings, participating in committees, and establishing external academic linkages.
Job Requirements
Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Tourism or Hospitality Management.
Have at least five years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.
Maintain a strong publication record with at least 3-5 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Have secured research grants as a Principal Investigator worth RM75,000-RM100,000 (cumulative).
Have graduated at least 2 PhD students.
Hold a minimum h-index of 5.
Have experience working in higher education with a track record in teaching, curriculum development, coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including use of IT in teaching and learning.
Have experience working on research projects or professional practice/consultancy with evidence of outputs.
