Job Description

The Associate Professor will engage in day-to-day teaching, research, and administrative tasks, contributing to the academic excellence of the department. The work environment is collaborative, focusing on innovative teaching methodologies and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver course materials for hospitality programs.
  • Engage in curriculum development to enhance educational offerings.
  • Support postgraduate research and mentor students.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including research and publishing.
  • Secure research grants and manage funded projects.
  • Contribute to external academic linkages and partnerships.
  • Maintain high standards of student learning and assessment.

Job Requirements

Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Tourism or Hospitality Management.

At least five (5) years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.

Strong publication record with 3-5 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.

Experience in securing research grants as a Principal Investigator worth RM75,000-RM100,000 (cumulative).

Graduated at least 2 PhD students.

Minimum h-index of 5.

Experience in higher education with teaching and curriculum development.
