
The Associate Professor - Mechanical Engineering is responsible for providing academic leadership in teaching and learning. This role significantly impacts the development of innovative curricula and high-quality research within the academic environment.
The Associate Professor will engage in day-to-day academic activities, including teaching, mentoring, and research supervision, while fostering a collaborative environment among colleagues and students. The position requires active participation in departmental administration and external collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
PhD in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in teaching, research, and/or industry practice.
Strong publication record with 5-6 indexed journal publications (ISI / Scopus Q1 and Q2) within the last five (5) years.
Proven ability to secure external research grants as Principal Investigator.
Scopus h-index of at least 8.
Successfully supervised and graduated at least two (2) PhD students by Research as the main supervisor.
Proven experience in curriculum design and teaching innovation.
