The Base Stocks Process Specialist is responsible for providing technical leadership for ExxonMobil’s manufacturing operations. This role involves evaluating and deploying new technologies, leading process engineering, and optimizing operations in a dynamic environment.
Job Description
As a Base Stocks Process Specialist, you will engage in day-to-day activities that include managing capital project developments and mentoring junior staff. You will collaborate with third parties to design and test technologies while ensuring operational excellence across refining units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate and deploy new technologies in the production process.
- Lead process engineering for manufacturing sites.
- Optimize operations during abnormal conditions.
- Manage capital project developments from screening to startup.
- Mentor junior staff and develop complex process models.
- Collaborate with third parties to design and test technologies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining industry.
At least 7 years of specific experience in base stocks manufacturing for downstream oil refining.
Proven experience in capital project development from screening studies through unit commissioning.
Strong technical skills in process modeling and unit operation troubleshooting.
