As a Base Stocks Process Specialist, you will provide technical leadership for ExxonMobil’s manufacturing operations. You will evaluate and deploy new technologies, lead process engineering for manufacturing sites, and optimize operations during abnormal conditions. The role involves managing capital project developments from screening to startup, mentoring junior staff, and developing complex process models. You will collaborate with third parties to design and test technologies while ensuring operational excellence across refining units.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining industry.
At least 7 years of specific experience in base stocks manufacturing for downstream oil refining.
Proficiency in distillation, catalytic processes including dewaxing, and deasphalting technology.
Proven experience in capital project development from screening studies through unit commissioning.
Strong technical skills in process modeling and unit operation troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in multi-cultural global teams.
Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 20% of the time.
