Role Summary
The Care Assistant, General Ward is responsible for providing essential nursing care to patients. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the quality of care and supporting the healthcare team in a dynamic hospital environment.
Job Description
As a Care Assistant in the General Ward, you will engage in daily interactions with patients, assisting them with their needs and ensuring a clean and safe environment. You will work closely with trained nursing staff to deliver high-quality care and support to patients throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing care to patients
- Notify nursing leaders of care quality issues
- Conduct regular nursing rounds to monitor patient well-being
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living
- Maintain cleanliness of the ward and equipment
- Record daily charges and patient intake/output
- Adhere to hospital policies and infection control practices
- Participate in continuing education and staff orientation
Job Requirements
Relevant nursing or healthcare qualification
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage
Strong communication skills in English
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
