This role involves building, installing, and repairing various structures such as walls, partitions, and wood structures. The Carpenter will also handle minor repairs, manage materials, adhere to safety standards, and provide service in a hospitality environment.
The Carpenter is responsible for building, installing, and repairing walls and partitions, including drywall, wallpaper, millwork, and moldings. This role includes performing rough-in framing for doors, windows, and cabinetry, repairing and constructing wood structures, and handling minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats and changing light bulbs. The Carpenter also manages ordering materials, follows safety and company policies, maintains a professional appearance, and provides courteous service to guests and colleagues.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 2 years of related work experience.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to move up and down a ladder.
Ability to follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
