The Commis 2 - Pastry prepares ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. This role involves washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, and preparing and cooking food according to recipes and quality standards. The position requires operating kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing food for doneness, and monitoring food quality. The Commis 2 - Pastry is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, setting up and breaking down the workstation, and ensuring proper portioning and serving of food.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 1 year of related work experience.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or an entire work shift.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Ability to follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain clean and professional personal appearance.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
