This position is for a Commis I - Pastry who will be responsible for preparing breads and pastries, operating baking equipment, and maintaining food safety standards. The role involves working as part of a team in a kitchen environment.
The Commis I - Pastry is responsible for preparing breads and pastries, including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating according to daily production requirements. The role involves following recipes and quality standards while maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene policies, monitoring food quality and temperatures, and assisting management with various team duties including training and scheduling.
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
No supervisory experience is required.
Must comply with food safety handling policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain kitchen logs and monitor food preparation quality.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
Must follow all company policies and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and serve as a role model or mentor.
