Job Description

The Commis II - Kitchen L'Orangerie is responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. The role involves cooking and preparing food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards, as well as operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Additional duties include maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area, monitoring food quality, and adhering to company safety and security policies. The position requires standing or moving for extended periods, performing physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and supporting team efforts to meet common goals.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.

At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.

Ability to follow company safety and security policies and procedures.

Ability to maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation in the kitchen area.

Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other movements required in a kitchen environment.

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals.

Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance.
