The Commis II is responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. This role involves washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, and preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards. The position requires operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, monitoring food quality, setting up and breaking down workstations, and maintaining cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area. The Commis II will also ensure food is served in proper portions and temperature and adhere to company safety and security policies. This role involves physical activity such as standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The position emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, and maintaining a positive working environment.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

At least 1 year of related work experience.

No supervisory experience.

Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures.

Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Good communication skills to interact professionally with others.

Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
