Job Description

The Commis II plays a vital role in the kitchen by preparing and cooking food according to recipes and quality standards. This position requires operating various kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately.
  • Cook food according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and fryers.
  • Monitor food quality and ensure proper serving temperatures.
  • Set up and break down workstations efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

At least 1 year of related work experience.

Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures.

Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Good communication skills to interact professionally with others.

Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
