Job Description

The Auxiliary Police officer will cooperate with the Subang Jaya Police Department under the orders of the OCPD and his subordinates. The role involves assisting in maintaining order within Taylor's University jurisdiction and carrying out lawful orders from the police department. The officer will assist senior Auxiliary Police staff in coordinating and managing the Auxiliary Police Team and all related security activities at Taylor's University. Responsibilities include providing a safe environment, protecting university assets, guiding constables, monitoring attendance and equipment, conducting patrols and traffic control, overseeing safety issues, conducting CCTV surveillance, reporting maintenance issues, and supporting all security matters. The duties also include directing traffic, patrolling assigned areas, reporting hazards, addressing public safety matters, assisting the community, standing for long periods at secured posts, and performing other assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

Must possess SPM as the minimum academic qualification.

Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Must be proficient in the use and maintenance of Department equipment applicable to the position.

Must understand and apply Department rules, regulations, policies, directives, procedures, and job descriptions applicable to the position.

Must know the geography of the community.

Must interact courteously with all levels of supervision.

Candidates must enjoy and actively participate in all aspects of security operations, be in good physical condition, and be able to deal with various end users.

Must be adept at problem resolution.

Must be able to work during weekends and public holidays.

Must be proactive and result oriented.

Must possess a valid driver's license without restrictions or with correctable restrictions.

Must be able to work cooperatively and harmoniously with others.

Must be free from physical, emotional, or mental conditions which might adversely affect performance of duties as an auxiliary police officer, and must be physically capable of performing duties including delivery of first aid, operating police vehicles (if any), and communicating effectively orally and in writing.

Must have no felony convictions unless fully pardoned.

Preferably have at least 2 years of working experience, preferably in an educational institution.
