The teacher works under the direction of the Head of Curriculum Support, delivering small group interventions, in-class assistance, and contributing to differentiated teaching practices.
A recognised teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education or PGCE.
Specialist training or qualifications in SEN are highly desirable.
Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
Experience in planning and delivering targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
Experience liaising with parents and external support agencies.
Strong understanding of current SEN theory, practice, and statutory requirements.
Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with various learning difficulties including dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and caseload management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to be proactive and flexible, adapting to changing student and school needs.
Empathy and patience to build trust and celebrate individual success.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
