Job Description
The role of Data Center Technician/A4 Chargeman in Petaling Jaya involves performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation. This position is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, responsible for technical maintenance in critical client environments. The technician will assist with daily site inspections, ensure safe environmental conditions, respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinate with third-party vendors, complete maintenance tasks, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Job Requirements
Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this role.
To effectively present information to an internal department, client, management and/or colleagues.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Basic math skills including ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
