The Data Center Technician Electrical is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the reliability and safety of mechanical and engineering systems in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
In this full-time position, the Data Center Technician Electrical will support daily site inspections and respond to building management system alarms. The technician will coordinate with third-party vendors and complete both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Conduct corrective repairs as needed within the data center.
- Support daily site inspections of mechanical and engineering systems.
- React promptly to building management system alarms.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance tasks.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Job Requirements
Training in a technical discipline with 1-2 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
