In this position, you will oversee the daily operations of the Faculty of Engineering, ensuring that academic programs align with industry needs and accreditation standards. You will work collaboratively with faculty and stakeholders to promote research, innovation, and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning initiatives for the Faculty of Engineering.
- Oversee curriculum development to meet industry standards.
- Promote research and innovation within the faculty.
- Manage faculty recruitment, evaluations, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulations.
- Build and maintain partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions.
- Support student success through effective program management and engagement.
- Monitor teaching quality and promote modern teaching methods.
- Oversee laboratory operations and community engagement initiatives.
- Report performance metrics to university leadership.
Job Requirements
PhD in Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 7-10 years in senior academic or administrative roles.
Proven track record of impactful research and securing competitive grants.
Deep understanding of engineering education standards and accreditation processes.
Strong connections with industry and government bodies.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Fluent in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, and English.
Registered with the Board of Engineering.
