The position requires promoting research, innovation, and scholarly work, overseeing faculty hiring, mentoring, and evaluation, managing budgets and financial resources, and building partnerships with healthcare, industry, and community sectors. The role also includes supporting student success, recruitment, and development, guiding curriculum design and continuous improvement, encouraging collaboration, upholding ethics and integrity, and reporting progress and achievements to university leadership.
PhD in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 7-10 years in academic leadership roles (e.g., Dean, Associate Dean, Head of Department) with a proven track record of strategic planning and team management.
Strong portfolio of scholarly publications, research grants, and contributions to pharmaceutical science.
Deep understanding of national and international pharmacy education standards, accreditation processes, and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in building partnerships with healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and professional bodies.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to inspire faculty, students, and stakeholders.
Passion for advancing pharmacy education through curriculum development, technology integration, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Registered with the Board of Pharmacy.
Fluent in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and English
