A doctoral qualification with a reputable track record in research and higher education within a relevant field.
Strong credibility as an academic leader.
Academic standing as a Professor in one of the disciplines offered by the Faculty is desired.
Significant and successful track record of strategic leadership and management at a senior level within a large and complex organization.
Significant domain knowledge and skills in education, research, and professional practice related to the faculty to enable strategic change.
Proven experience in building research partnerships, including with industry, government, and the community, and in improving research performance.
Successful management of change to maximize performance.
An understanding of contemporary higher education issues and their implications for university management.
Proven capacity to work across organizational boundaries with government, community, and international partners to achieve corporate outcomes.
Highly regarded interpersonal, communication, and people management skills with experience managing academic and professional staff.
Ability to foster collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
Proven ability to contribute to forward development and strategy.
Ability to lead, develop, and motivate staff and teams.
Ability to manage complex change and engage staff through this process.
