The Executive Housekeeper leads the Housekeeping department, including Recreation/Health Club and Laundry if applicable, to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas. The role involves overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, conducting inspections, and ensuring satisfaction of guests and employees.
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Housekeeping department as well as Recreation/Health Club and Laundry if applicable. The role involves directing employees to maintain cleanliness and upkeep in guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas, conducting inspections, managing budgets, and ensuring guest and employee satisfaction.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in housekeeping or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.
Ability to manage housekeeping operations including communication of guest room status, coordination with Engineering, supervising cleaning schedules, inventory management, compliance with housekeeping policies, and supply ordering.
Experience in managing departmental costs and understanding budget impacts.
Skills in responding to guest problems and complaints and promoting exceptional customer service.
Capability in conducting human resources activities such as supervising staffing, administering policies, training employees, participating in performance appraisals, and involvement in hiring and disciplinary processes.
