Job Description

The Finance Manager (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan) is responsible for overseeing the finance accounting and controllership of S&P Global's business entities in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan. This role is based in Malaysia-Penang and involves ensuring compliance with company accounting policies aligned with US GAAP and local GAAP, managing tax reporting and compliance, liaison with auditors, corporate secretarial and statutory reporting, cash management, and supporting corporate development and M&A projects. The position emphasizes leveraging automation and GenAI technologies to innovate and improve finance processes.

Job Requirements

Degree or professional qualification in Accounting.

8+ years of experience building and running accounting/finance teams with at least 4 years in leadership/managerial roles.

Experience supporting a large multi-national business preferred.

Proficient in English and Malay languages (speaking and reading).

Deep understanding of local accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work cohesively in a matrix structure.

Confidence in operating globally with a local mindset.

Independent, highly motivated, and committed.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
