Role Summary
The Finance Manager (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan) is responsible for overseeing the finance accounting and controllership of S&P Global's business entities in these regions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with accounting policies and enhancing finance processes through innovation and technology.
Job Description
In this role, you will manage the financial operations across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan, ensuring adherence to both US GAAP and local GAAP standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive financial performance and support corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee finance accounting and controllership for business entities in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies aligned with US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Manage tax reporting and compliance across the regions.
- Liaise with auditors for financial audits and reviews.
- Handle corporate secretarial and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage cash flow and cash management activities.
- Support corporate development and M&A projects through financial analysis.
- Leverage automation and GenAI technologies to innovate finance processes.
Job Requirements
Degree or professional qualification in Accounting.
8+ years of experience in accounting/finance teams with at least 4 years in leadership roles.
Experience in a large multi-national business preferred.
Proficient in English and Malay languages (speaking and reading).
Deep understanding of local accounting standards and tax regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
