Financial Data Researcher, Private Markets at S&P Global - Kuala Lumpur

The Financial Data Researcher, Private Markets is responsible for processing and analyzing financial documents related to private equity investments. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring data accuracy and supporting internal analytics within a collaborative team environment.

In this role, you will engage in the daily processing of financial documents from General and Limited Partners, ensuring that data is accurately extracted and categorized. You will work closely with team members to meet quality and timeliness targets while contributing to process improvements and data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze financial documents received from General/Limited Partners.
• Access GP portals to download, categorize, and tag fund-related documents.
• Extract, standardize, and validate data from Private Equity documents.
• Identify appropriate accounting breakouts and classify data items.
• Perform data quality checks and resolve exceptions through manual reviews.
• Conduct routine reporting and basic trend analysis for internal insights.
• Support data cleansing initiatives to improve dataset accuracy.
