The Fluid Solids Process Engineer role at ExxonMobil involves supporting manufacturing facilities globally by providing deep technical expertise in fluid solids technologies, including Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) and Fluid Coking (FLK). The engineer will be part of a global process engineering team based in Kuala Lumpur, working closely with manufacturing sites and contributing to process modeling, troubleshooting, capital projects, and equipment design in these areas.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or refining industry.
Minimum 5 years of specialization in fluid solids processes such as Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) and/or Fluid Coking (FLK).
Experience with technical site or unit operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, asset support, projects, and turnarounds.
Proficiency in process and equipment design and use of process simulation software like Aspen, Pro-II, and KBC Petro-SIM.
Ability to maintain and optimize FCC or FLK modeling tools and identify necessary improvements.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of FCC or FLK reaction kinetics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for working in a multicultural global team.
Strategic thinking and ability to develop creative solutions for operational issues.
Capability to influence and drive change without direct authority.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
