This role requires coordinating with multiple departments, managing cleaning priorities, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with management duties such as hiring and training. The position also involves ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining professional interactions with guests and staff.
The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor is responsible for inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met. This role involves coordinating with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments, managing room status and cleaning priorities, documenting and resolving room discrepancies, and assisting in various management duties such as hiring, training, scheduling, and employee evaluations. The supervisor must also ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and maintain a professional appearance while welcoming and addressing guest needs.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to follow company safety and security policies and procedures.
Capability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and more with assistance.
Ability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other machinery over uneven surfaces.
Physical ability to reach, bend, twist, pull, stoop, stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods during a work shift.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to grasp and manipulate objects.
Ability to use computers and point of sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
Ability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
Strong communication skills to speak clearly and professionally with guests and staff.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and respond appropriately to concerns.
Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
